Before perfume was an industry,
it was an inheritance.
For centuries, attar makers distilled oud, rose and amber into oils passed hand to hand — worn at weddings, gifted at homecomings, dabbed on wrists before prayer. Scent wasn’t decoration. It was memory you could carry.
Ma’wa & Co. begins there. Our blends draw on that tradition — the souk, the garden, the hammam — and pour it into glass for the modern home.

In England, soy wax is melted, scented and poured the unhurried way. No factory floors, no seasonal shortcuts — every jar passes through the same few hands, and it shows in the burn.
This is the same product our UK house has built its name on. Nothing was watered down for the voyage.

Ma’wa & Co. is a family-run business. The candles are poured in England by our sister house, Shifa Aromas; here in Pennsylvania, our family receives each small consignment, checks every jar, and packs every order at our own table — dispatched twice weekly, wrapped as if it were a gift. Because it usually is.
When you order from us, there is no warehouse. There’s a family, a packing night, and a candle that has crossed an ocean to sit on your shelf.
